New products : For many years the preferred method of drying corrugated board on the double facer has been the patented Shortpress Heat Transfer System developed by Simon. Now Simon have developed an improved version of this patented system called the S-Press. This new system is a cleaner simpler design and provides 100% effective heat transfer. The S-Press is especially effective on heavier board grades and produces board with no edge bonding problems at higher speeds.  The system requires no segmented or independent shoe arrangement. The S-Press uses new high temperature air bags providing an excellent “Kiss touch” mode of operation and much reduced power consumption.  The S-Press is very popular with operators and offers an excellent return on  investment.
